Genome Mapping, Organization and Evolution Conference

We take pleasure in inviting you to the International conference Genome Mapping, Organization and Evolution, in honor of Prof. Abraham Korol 70th birthday. The conference will take place at the University of Haifa, Haifa, Israel, October 26-27, 2016.

27.10.2016 - 08:00-18:00 Scientific excursion to the Galilee

The conference day - will include lectures delivered by scientists from around the globe that will present advanced scientific results in the field of genome mapping, genome organization, and the dynamic evolutionary processes allowing organisms to adapt to new environmental challenges.

The excursion day - will start from the prehistoric caves in Nahal Mearot Nature Reserve, in which humans lived for hundreds of thousands of years; to Ohalo site, on the southwest shore of the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret), harboring extremely well-preserved remains of botanical material dated 23,000 years BP from the period preceding the agricultural revolution; and to Kfar Nahum (Capernaum), a center of early Christianity activity in the Galilee inhabited continuously from the Bronze to the Byzantine period.

The conference day is free of charge, registration is required before 15th September 2016
